Q: What is the final digital quality control process?
A: It is a fancy term for a final digital checkout sheet. All repair shops and I emphasize ALL, should have some sort of final quality control process where the vehicle is looked over by another set of eyes before delivery to the customer. As a software engineer, this is a familiar practice that I carried over and applied to the auto repair industry. Software is not released until a separate team or person reviews and tests it for bugs. Likewise, a final digital quality control inspection gives shops the confidence of delivering vehicles to customers in the condition they expected and paid for with no residual issues such as left behind grease or lose belts, hoses, and caps. A quality control process further promotes customer retention, add-on sales, shop credibility, and a positive reputation.
