The Tool & Equipment Distributors Associates (TEDA) hosted its 28th Vendor Advisory Meeting on June 12-14 in Ellicott, Maryland.
As in years past, the meeting had a big turnout with 120 registered guests and 52 vendor companies. Within those numbers were 85 vendor personnel, 35 TEDA members and staff, and 20 first-time attendees.
"We want[ed] everyone to thoroughly enjoy themselves, vendors and members to learn more, [and] relationships formed to be perpetuated into the future," said Glen Pratt, president of TEDA. According to those at TEDA, the event was very well run and attitudes were positive all around.
The three-day event met its goals, according to Pratt, and aimed to introduce new products and announce fall promotions to TEDA personnel.
Pratt opened up the vendor advisory meeting with his opening remarks and presentation. He covered some of the history of TEDA, its conception in 1986, and notable accomplishments across its thirty-six-year run.
This year, 90 percent of exhibiting vendors participated in private conferences.
The best-performing categories for this year's meeting were "Hard Line Hand Tools", "PBE Related Items", "Specialty Tools", and "Diagnostic Tools & Testers".
Next year's TEDA vendor advisory meeting will be held June 10-13 in Ellicott City, Maryland.
